On February 6, 2023, took place the meeting at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Moscow, where opportunities for scientific and technological cooperation between Russian and Chinese scientists were discussed.
The parties expressed their views on the current state of the scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. The issue of strengthening and deepening the scientific and technological cooperation among leading universities and research centers of Russia and China were on the agenda of the talks as well.
The Chinese side proposed to explore possibility to involve both countries’ innovation foundations to support scientific projects. In terms of increasing cooperation between Russian and Chinese scientists, the parties underlined the necessity of holding joint conferences and round tables. Moreover, the sides expressed interest in interregional scientific and technical cooperation. Last but not least, science popularization is paid special attention in Russia.The parties discussed the possibility of further cooperation in these areas.
Chinese side was represented by science advisor, Zheng Shimin, second secretary, Qin Hao and third secretary, Li Chunqing.
On behalf of the Russian side, Executive Director of the Analytical сenter ICISTE, Irina Kuklina, Deputy Executive Director for International Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Anastasia Zadorina, and Director for International Cooperation, Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, Sophia Bluger took part in the meeting.
