ERA.Net RUS+ Selection meeting of the Group of funding parties

On October 19, 2020, Group of funding parties meeting was held devoted to the selection of research projects within the ERA.Net RUS+ 3rd joint call. The ERA.NET RUS+ is aimed to support of collaboration between Russia and Europe. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the meeting was carried out via videoconference,

Representatives of the funding parties from 12 countries as well as members of the Joint call secretariat took part in the meeting. Kirsten Kienzler (DLR), Jens Hofmann (BMBF) and Natalia Kharitonova (MSHE) welcomed the participants. Irina Kuklina, Executive Director, Anastasia Zadorina, Deputy Executive Director for international scientific and technical cooperation and Julia Fomina, leading expert in international programmes represented the ICISTE at the meeting.

A total of 140 proposals were submitted. Following the results of the meeting, 21 projects were recommended for funding. The final decision on the projects’ support will be taken by the respective funding organisations on the national level. Projects start is planned within the 1st half of 2021.

At the meeting participants also discussed the development of ERA.NET RUS+.
